Board of Advisors

Louiz Banks

When he first met Gina, Louiz told her that he'd always wanted to name one of his kids that, but since he had a boy, he settled for Gino.

Grammy nominated Louiz Banks has been spearheading the Jazz Movement in India for the past three decades. Often referred to as the Godfather of Jazz in India, he has been singularly instrumental in bringing a high standard of Jazz performance for jazz devotees in India. Apart from playing Jazz, he is the most sought after composer for advertising commercials, TV Serials, TV Themes, Curtain Raisers, Anthems Documentaries, Stage Musicals, Film Background scores, popular and Hindi Music.

In 1988, Banks composed the tunes to the iconic Mile Sur Mera Tumhara, a short film on National integration for Doordarshan.

He has proved his calibre, time and again, by performances with greats such as Eddie Henderson, Mike Stern, Eddie Daniels, Charlie Mariano, Yolande Bavan, John McLaughlin, Tony Lakatos, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, George Brooks , Wallace Roney , Bob Belden , Roseanna Vitro , Carl Clements, India's best jazz singer Pam Crain, World renowned South Indian Classical Singer Ramamani, World Percussionist Sivamani, Ustad Zakir Husain, Shankar Mahadevan, the eminent Sultan Khan, among others and crowning it all with a tour all over India with the legendary Dizzy Gillespie.

When he is not playing music he paints impressionistic canvases in oil and acrylic.

Remo Fernandes

It was one of Trump It's early jobs, when he was facilitated as a platinum artist, that Gina met Remo first. Remo epitomizes Goa and that is clear in everything he does.

Remo is, quite simply, one of the greatest performing artistes ever from India. The very name ‘Remo’ has instant recognition almost anywhere in this country and in many countries abroad, where he has performed at concerts and festivals, for Prime Ministers and Presidents, with some of the biggest names in the business Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Eurythmics, Zakir, Trilok and others.

He was awarded the Padmashri by the President of India. A poet, an artist, a writer and an activist, Remo is a thinking man, someone who loves his country passionately and regularly writes and records songs that carry activist messages in support of causes he believes in.

Srila Chatterjee

Srila never met Gina, but the one thing that they both seemed to have in common, was time. Srila (as was with Gina) can pack into a day what most people would take a week.

COO of 'Highlight Films', one of the country's premier production houses, partner at the 'Blue frog', the hottest music venue in the country, CEO of 'Zoo Grips', the first and largest Film Grip Company in the country, Srila Chatterjee is on the board of the Akansha foundation, and has been Festival Director of The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival and the The Mill Culture Crawl at Mathuradas Mills.

In spite of all this, she still manages to find time to buy a painting or three, catch a movie, travel to almost every country imaginable, watch the football world cup finals, a Nadal game, or a Schumacher race live, eat at the finest dining places in the world, read a book a week, go to a concert (so what if it is the North Sea Jazz), and look after 6 dogs.

Dr. Suma Sudhindra

Dr. Suma and the rest of the Sudhindra household shared a very special bond with Gina.

Dr. Suma Sudhindra is the foremost exponent of the Veena in her generation of musicians. A very rare blend of the classical conservatism with a belief in evolving to the present, her range of work has extended from the scholarly to performances of immaculate skill and creative contours. A vivacious blend of artistic instincts, technique and admirable commitment and an activist on the cultural front she is fiercely propagating the cause of music in the roles of performer, administrator, scholar and teacher.

Her recent contribution to the music world is her own new innovation 'The Tarangini Veena' which has made a tremendous impact in the music circles. Rajyotsava Awardee from the Karnataka Government in the year 2001, Dr. Suma Sudhindra is the President of the venerable Chowdiah Memorial Hall and has been recently nominated as the member of the Central Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi for a five year term from june 2009.

The Bengaluru International Arts Festival, her baby, which she started in 2009, has initiated newer audiences to the world of Music and Dance.
